Child and Teen Check-Ups
Each year, Stearns County receives a grant from the Minnesota Department of Human Services to do Child and Teen Check-Up outreach services for this program. Child and Teen Check-Ups, formerly known as EPSDT (Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic Testing) is a benefit for persons ages 0-21 on Medical Assistance and MinnesotaCare. This screening is considered a well-baby visit, and is available at clinics throughout Stearns County.
Public Health staff educate families about comprehensive screening at regular age intervals through reminder letters, home visits, and phone contacts. Staff may also assist with appointments, transportation, interpreter, and other services necessary to access health care.
The program also provides community outreach, technical assistance, and training to medical providers.
Eligibility Requirements: Children and teens under 21 years old on Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare.
