Public Housing
You may qualify for affordable family rental housing developed by the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of Stearns County (HRA) under the provisions of Public Housing.
Location
The rental units are located in Albany, St. Joseph, and Sartell. The Albany and Sartell sites are a duplex design, while St. Joseph is a townhouse design.
About the Units
The housing units are a split-level design and have three bedrooms and 1½ baths. There is a unit in St. Joseph designed for the handicapped; it is a rambler design with 1 full bath. Each unit has laundry hook-ups, a stove and refrigerator, a garage, yard, and patio area.

About the Rent
The units have been designed and constructed as adequate, safe, comfortable living quarters at an affordable rent. Residents pay 30% of their adjusted gross income for rent, or have the option of paying the current flat rent amount.

Who May Apply
To qualify, you must fall within the definition of "family" and meet occupancy standards, income limits, and other qualifications as determined by the HRA. References will also be required of all applicants.
How to Apply
Applications for public housing programs are accepted each Monday in the HRA offices between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Directions to the HRA office
