Tri-County Solid Waste Management Product Exchange
About the Product Exchange
In an effort to divert hazardous waste from entering our environment, the Tri-County Solid Waste Management Commission manages a product exchange program. This program encourages reusing materials that come into the Household Hazardous Waste facility. Our shelves and counter offer a wide array of usable products.
Products you may find are paint, stain, cleaning supplies, aerosols, adhesives, pesticides and home improvement products. These products are available to residents of the Tri-County area free of charge.
Watch our video to learn more about the Product Exchange.
Most of the products have been opened, so containers most likely will only be partially full. We can not guarantee that the product you are looking for will be available, as it will depend on what has been brought in for disposal prior to you arriving.
Given the increasing costs of such items when purchased in retail stores, a significant savings may be obtained by checking the product exchange facility for availability on a product before making a store purchase. More importantly, by properly reusing these hazardous products, people can prevent polluting our land and waterways as the result of improper disposal.
