Descriptive Narrative:
Quarry Twenty is isolated in the woods northeast of the main western group of quarries. Red granite dominates the walls, but gray granite is found in natural outcrops just to the north and west. Contact areas between red and gray granite may represent faults. A basalt dike in the southwest corner is one of several found in natural outcrops to the south and west.
Quarry Nineteen is one of the smallest quarries in the park and with a maximum depth of 26 feet . It displays an asymmetry noted in other quarries in the park: the deepest water is in the eastern part, but it is the western walls that are steep above the water.
