Hosting an Event at a Stearns County Park?

This information applies to organizations that wish to hold an organized event that will be open to the public in one of the Stearns County Parks.  Please read the Events Policy before proceeding to make an Event request. If you wish to rent a shelter for a private event, please go to the Online Services Reservation page. 

To facilitate an organized group event in the Stearns County Parks system.
Note: You can not make an event reservation through our online reservation system.

Once approved, sign our Waivers:

(You may print as many of those as necessary; they must be turned in within 5 days of the event.) 

Provide Liability Insurance

The Organization must provide liability insurance for $500,000 per person and $1 million per event. 

  • Stearns County must be named as Additional Insured on the certificate of insurance. 
  • Organized events of less than 30 participants are not required to adhere to the "Additional Insured" requirement.  (See the policy for details)

Review our Fees

Standard charges for use of the Park will apply.  Events in Quarry Park will require that each car entering have a regular parking permit. 

Events with a registration fee will be required to share revenues with Stearns County.  

  • For-profit organizations will pay 25% of the registration proceeds.
  • Non-profits will pay 5% of the registration proceeds, not to exceed $150.00.
  • Events that include a for-profit booth will require a $50 booth fee.

The first event in a Stearns County Park may be co-sponsored by the County.  There would be no insurance requirement, but the waivers and fees would be required. 

Additional information: 

  • During the set-up, take-down and operation of the event, the Park will remain open to the public.
  • All participants will be required to comply with all local, state and federal ordinances.
  • The Event Organizer will be liable for any additional costs beyond the regular operational cost of the park and for damage to facilities or extraordinary cleanup.
