Recreational Vehicle and Watercraft Registration

available at both license center locations (County Campus and Service Center) and online through the Virtual License Center

 

All-Terrain Vehicle Registration

The owner must provide make, model, year, serial number, and engine size in HP or CC’s, and owner’s driver’s license and signature. The license is valid for three years.

  • Fee for a new ATV license is $53.50. A renewal is $51.00. A new ATV-AG license is $14.50
  • Fee for registering an OHM is $38.50. A renewal is $36.00.
  • Fee for registering an ORV is $38.50. A renewal is $36.00.

Snowmobile Registration

The owner must provide the make, model, year, serial number, engine size (HP or CC’s) and owners driver’s license and signature. The license is valid for three years.

Snowmobiles operating on state and grant-in-aid trails must have a Snowmobile State Trail Sticker.

 Fees listed below are effective July 1, 2012

  • A new license is $78.50. (3-yr state trail sticker included in registration fees)
  • A renewal is also $78.50. (3-yr state trail sticker included in registration fees)
  • A 1-Year State Trail Sticker is $36.00.

Watercraft Registration

The owner must provide the make, year, length, serial number, motor size if applicable, and owners driver’s license and signature. For titled watercraft being transferred, the transfer must be executed on a Minnesota or out of state title. The license is valid for three years.

Fees vary according to type, length, and use of watercraft.
