Two County Parks Close for Deer Hunt

Rockville County Park & Nature Preserve and Spring Hill County Park will close temporarily to accommodate special deer hunting opportunities for people with physical disabilities.

Both Stearns County Parks are closed beginning Saturday, November 9, 2019, and will remain closed through Sunday, November 17. Spring Hill County Park will then close again for hunting from November 30 through December 15, 2019.

The hunters applied and were selected through Midwest Outdoors Unlimited for the deer hunt. Each disabled hunter will be accompanied by a volunteer while in the park.

Midwest Outdoors Unlimited is a non-profit organization that manages special hunting opportunities for people with a disability.
